Technology

Oakland Dental Specialty Center uses some of the most advanced 3-D imaging technology, laser surgery systems, and software available. For your convenience the equipment is available right in our offices. This saves you a trip to another location. It also makes detailed information readily available to the surgical team, who can optimize your care based on purely on accessibility of high quality information. Our onsite technology capability allows us to perform the majority of oral & maxillofacial procedures here in our surgical suites.

i-CAT® Scanner

In a matter of seconds, the i-CAT scanner takes hundreds of high definition images of hard and soft tissue. The software used with the i-CAT can reassemble these images into three-dimensional interactive digital reproductions of the head, neck, jaw and face. Dr. Luque can interface with the digital representation even performing a virtual surgery on the affected area before the real procedure. This makes any operation more predictable, and as minimally invasive as possible. This gets you home and recovered faster.

Piezosurgery3

Our Piezosurgery 3 device provides maximum surgical precision for cutting bone tissue while causing minimal impact to the soft tissue. Multiple studies have shown that this bone surgery instrument leads to faster healing than traditional surgical tools.

Surgitron

Radiosurgery is a noninvasive form of surgery utilizing radiowave technology to perform precise surgical procedures. Unlike lasers, the high frequency of our Surgitron device cuts and coagulates soft tissues with little impact on surrounding tissue.

AqueCool

Our AqueCool Controlled Cooling System is a post-operative recovery system that minimizes downtime, pain, swelling, and bruising after oral & maxillofacial surgery. We want you to be as comfortable as you can be following your procedure.
